Getting to Dentdale by bus

Western Dales Bus have decided not to change their timetables this winter. The existing timetables will remain in operation until further notice.
On the popular Saturday Dent Station-Dent village-Sedbergh-Kendal service the morning bus from Dent to Sedbergh and Kendal departs the village at 9.50am with an afternoon bus at 1.28pm. There are departures from Kendal to Dent village at 12.43pm and 4.20pm.
The bus offers an onward service for passengers arriving at Dent Station on the 9.15am train arrival from Leeds as well as dropping them off for the 5.34pm and 7.38pm trains to Leeds. The service connecting with the later train is on-request and involves a wait of just over half an hour at the station.
The Friday service from Dent village to Brough and Kirkby Stephen via Sedbergh departs at 10.25am. The service back to Dent leaves Brough at 1.27pm, Kirkby Stephen at 1.36pm and Sedbergh at 2.04pm.
Western Dales Bus have confirmed that they will review the timetables again in the New Year for summer 2019.
The Wednesday service from Cowgill to Kendal via Dent and Sedbergh, operated by Woofs, is unchanged.
