Coronavirus Support within Dentdale

Since our last update we now have over 20 volunteers, who are helping deliver shopping and prescriptions. This update is to provide a little more information on what you can get in Dentdale.

Please pay by card over the phone when you order or set up an account to be paid later.

Fruit and Veg – The shop gets fresh deliveries on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday, please order the day before by 3pm. This is also the days that milk is delivered Please pre-order where possible!

Fresh Meat – The shop gets one delivery per week on a Thursday – please order by Tuesday at 3pm.

Dried/Tinned Goods – The shop gets two deliveries a week. They stock all the essentials and much more; bread, rice, pasta, toilet rolls, chocolate, crisps, soups, cheese, local beer, lager, wine.

Once your order is ready for delivery, one of our volunteers will deliver to your door!

The ‘Dent Box’

Prescriptions are delivered twice a week (Wednesday and Saturday around lunchtime). All you need to do is ring Sedbergh dispensary and ask for your prescription to be put into the ‘Dent Box’. Our volunteers will deliver to your door!!

The cafes are offering a takeaway every Saturday – if you’re interested please place your order by the Tuesday!

Saturday 11th April- Stone Close – Chinese Takeaway
In addition, from this Friday (3rd April) Meadowside are offering cake and coffee to take away from 10:30 -2:30pm – Please ring for more information.

From now on we will just be updating information on;, the Dent with Cowgill Community Forum Facebk page and the Neighbourhood Watch/CCMS system, which will be updated as often as necessary.

If you don’t have access to the internet feel free to call the central helpline number or ask a neighbour to keep you updated.
