What better way to spend Bank Holiday Monday than at Dent Gala? A true community gathering, bringing together families and friends and visitors, with activities for all age groups. Starting at 1.30 pm on the school playground and field, feet will be set a-tapping by Carolyn Frances, the one woman band, ably supported by some of the young fiddlers of Dent. Games will include the infamous slippery pole pillow fighting and trusty old skittles, and there will be races (and that means prizes) for every age.

By popular request there will be a repeat of last year's Dog Show, with a full range of classes for you to enter your pet dog on the day. With the superb Dent W. I. Teas to sustain you, you will survive right through to the nerve-racking egg throwing competition, and go home pleased to know you have once more contributed to the upkeep of the Memorial Hall as well as had a great day out.
