Black elder (Sambucus niger) - very
beautiful shrub/tree, whose
flowers and berries can be used just like the normal elder.
Corkscrew hazel (Corylus avellana 'Contorta') - hazel with corkscrew
branches and purple leaves, apparently will produce nuts!
Native hawthorn (Crataegus).
