With a central village location, this delightful character cottage
which dates back to the late 17'h Century, offers an ideal base
from which to explore the pretty village of Dent and the lovely
surrounding dale. Decorated and furnished to offer a comfortable
retreat at any time of the year,
Queens Cottage comes complete with a lovely wood burning stove,
and character which befits this charming cottage.
The village has a couple of pubs - one with a micro-brewery as
well as a village shop and tea room,
with further shopping at nearby Kirkby Lonsdale. With walks in
every direction from the property there will be something to suit
all abilities - try the Flintergill Nature Trail, a river walk or
a more strenuous climb up the dale side.
The Lake District
is only 17 miles away for an easy day trip with the delights of
the Yorkshire Dales National Park all close by. Dent also has a
stopping point on the scenic Settle to Carlisle Railway, a lovely
day trip full of excellent views.
