Welcome to Meadowside Café  Bar

Meadowside has had many uses over the past century, first a Primitive Methodist chapel with a Sunday School which is now our self catering studio.

Meadowside Café is a superb, relaxed and cosy cafe with  wonderful and ever changing views of Rise Hill and the countryside at the rear of the cafe.

At Meadowside, we pride ourselves on quality, with almost everything homemade, from freshly baked bread to soups, lasagne and chilli, not forgetting our fabulous range of cakes, muffins, traybakes, health bars and scones.

We use only the finest local ingredients.  Our local butcher, Steadmans of Sedbergh, supply all of our meat with the majority coming from Cumbria and surrounding area.  Our fruit and veg are delivered daily from our local greengrocer and our free range eggs are only ever sourced from the local farmer in Dent.

We have a wide selection for vegetarians and coeliacs with homemade pates, vegetable lasagne, chickpea curries and loads more! See our specials board for our ever changing selection. 

Our superb freshly cooked breakfasts start the day off well for campers, walkers and day visitors alike.  At lunchtimes we offer anything from homemade soups and sandwiches to homemade pate, pies, lasagnes and large fresh salads. 

We offer full, hearty meals as well as snacks and light bites.  Try our superb homebaked ham and eggs, it has met with rave reviews!  Delicious home baked goodies are always available with a pot of Yorkshire tea or our celebrated fresh ‘bean to cup’ coffee. 

We are fully licensed so you can enjoy a local beer, glass of wine or whatever takes your fancy!
 

We plan to open on selected evenings for pie & stew nights, Spanish evening, retro night (remember prawn cocktails and spam fritters!) and so on.  We will post details in due course.

Why not have sole use of Meadowside if there are a few of you wanting to have a meal together in an evening?  We offer a three course menu at a reasonable set price from 6pm to 9pm.  Don’t hesitate to contact us if this is of interest.
