Malc Cowle is
well qualified as a storyteller and has many fans for his books in
Dentdale. He lived in small towns on Manchester’s periphery, moving
to the city at the age of sixteen to commence his engineering
apprenticeship. Born in 1944, he qualified as a Draughtsman in 1965.
He subsequently worked in the engineering and shipbuilding
industries and spent many years as an active trade unionist and
political organiser. Later he became a proud parent and a made to
measure bicycle frame builder. Throughout his life he was and is a
keen cyclist. He is now retired and lives in the Dale, although he
sometimes escapes to Manchester for a bit of peace and quiet!
Originally
written for his son, Thomas, and for his own amusement, all the
