Malc Cowle is well qualified as a storyteller and has many fans for his books in Dentdale. He lived in small towns on Manchester’s periphery, moving to the city at the age of sixteen to commence his engineering apprenticeship. Born in 1944, he qualified as a Draughtsman in 1965. He subsequently worked in the engineering and shipbuilding industries and spent many years as an active trade unionist and political organiser. Later he became a proud parent and a made to measure bicycle frame builder. Throughout his life he was and is a keen cyclist. He is now retired and lives in the Dale, although he sometimes escapes to Manchester for a bit of peace and quiet!

Originally written for his son, Thomas, and for his own amusement, all the books are published on lulu.com and are available as paper backs.
