A market, is held in Sedbergh every Wednesday in the Joss Lane Car Park. Several parking spaces in Joss Lane car park are used for the market stalls and parking can be difficult.

Dent Post Office is located in Dent Stores on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9.00am to 1.00pm.

A public telephone is located near the George & Dragon near John Cooke's Studio.

Sedbergh has a Post Office and three banks. These are Barclays, HSBC and Natwest.
